LSDD 2023 will take place in two buildings of L’Orientale:

Palazzo Corigliano (Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, 12) and

Palazzo Mediterraneo (Via Nuova Marina, 59).

The two buildings are about 15 minutes’ walk apart.

FROM THE AIRPORT

From Capodichino Airport there are buses (Alibus) to Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Municipio; the ride takes about 30-35 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and it costs € 5. Tickets can be bought on board. Both Alibus and taxis can be found right outside the arrivals area. From Piazza Garibaldi (Central Station) see below.

FROM THE TRAIN STATION

For those who travel to Naples by train, you can either walk to Palazzo Corigliano, take the subway, or take a taxi.

Walk: it’s a 25-minute walk from the train station. The train station occupies one of the short sides of Piazza Garibaldi, a large rectangular square. Corso Umberto I is the large avenue that begins at the opposite end of Piazza Garibaldi from the train station, on the other short side: you take a left when getting out of the station, cross the street at the traffic light, and then walk to the opposite end of Piazza Garibaldi (on your right you’ll have the metal forest that’s part of the subway station) and from there along Corso Umberto to the intersection with Via Mezzocannone. Turn left onto Via Mezzocannone; at the end of the street you will be in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore: you will find Palazzo Corigliano on your right.

Subway: line 1 runs from Piazza Garibaldi, just outside the train station. A pedestrian underpass connects the train station to the subway station. Buy a one-ride ticket. Get off the subway train at Università. Once outside the train station you’ll find yourselves in Piazza Bovio. Turn your back to the Piazza and start walking on the left hand side of Corso Umberto I untill the intersection with Via Mezzocannone. Turn left onto Via Mezzocannone; at the end of the street you will be in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore: you will find Palazzo Corigliano on your right.

Taxi: taxis can be found just outside the train station.
